The Sun is a star located in our solar system. It is also the point of which all other planets pivot around. It has a diameter of 1,392,684 km (865,374 mi) and its'
mass (about 2×1030 kilograms (2×1027 tons), 330,000 times that of Earth) accounts for about 99.86% of the total mass of the Solar System. It is believed to be brighter then 85% of the other stars in the Milky Way Galaxy.
